Melton Mowbray Masters
At Melton Mowbray SC we have a small but friendly group of masters. We do not have separate masters training lanes or sessions but swim with all other club members, dependant on your ability/speed.
As we are a competitive club we are offered training sessions in just the same way as any other member i.e. how much we want to improve and compete. Most people start off wanting to keep fit but before they know it they've competed in their first gala and are hooked.
We can enter any of the inter club galas and compete against either the open swimmers or those over the age of 25yrs (dependant on the gala)
We can also enter masters open competitions once we are a member of the club. There are many different types and levels of competitions and you only have to enter the ones you want to, from local 1 day events to National and GB championship events.
You can become a master from the age of 25yrs but can still enter competitions from 18 yrs being classed as a senior swimmer. Masters are split into age groups of 5 year bands:
Seniors: 18-24
A: 25-29
B: 30-34
C: 35-39
D: 40-44
E: 45-49

H: 60-64
